Happy National Gluten-Free Grilled Cheese Day
Yesterday was National Grilled Cheese Day! We celebrated at home by browning up his and hers grilled cheeses for dinner. For my grilled cheese I used Udi’s multi-grain sandwich bread, Horizon organic cheese singles and shredded cheddar, lots of Earth Balance soy free butter and half an avocado for good measure. Although the special holiday could have potentially over hyped this classic food, with these top-of-the-line ingredients my sammie did not disappoint.
The standout of the meal, though, was most definitely Tasty Bite’s Vegetable Korma. God Bless America this stuff is so good, and something I would have never had the time, knowledge or resources to make without this product being available to me. The sauce is flavorful without being too savory, and the potatoes give it something to grab onto while the corn sweetens things up. Such a more unique and healthy alternative to potato chips. By the end of the meal I was using my grilled cheese to mop up the Korma sauce! I’ve always been an innovator…
I hope you had a happy National Grilled Cheese day and that your grilled cheeses were as delicious as mine. If not there is always next year!
